Of Men, Mountains and Molehills

To be a man is to demand satisfaction—this is what binds us. This urge begets all pleasure and plain. Every man desires to be king of his domain. In such pursuit, he will minimize the bounds of his concern to match his locus of control.

So what is satisfaction? If any man can derive satisfaction based solely on the relative variables at play, how can he grow?

Perhaps there are, in fact, varying degrees of satisfaction. Perhaps if the other were to climb a molehill but I was so brave as to climb a mountain, I would feel a triumph he could not conceive.

Furthermore, if satisfaction binds us then curiosity separates us. The quest for something greater than what is presently comprehensible is the story of human history.

You decide—Are you a molehill monarch or a master of mountains? Or, put simply, is satisfaction really good enough for you?
